This window gives you the Company View. It consists of all the Series in the Company. What is a Series? Here is an explanation. But before you understand this, it is suggested that you read the Features page on this website to be clear about the basic concept underlying QPower. Rebate unit is the basic element of QPower. It may be priced in multiples of Rs. 100/-. Customers invest in these rebate units to gain a guaranteed high appreciation. Each unit has a distinctive number. Rebate units are embodied in Rebate Certificates. Each rebate certificate may consist of one or more than one rebate units. This is similar to a share certificate which has one or more shares. Each Rebate Certificate has a distinctive serial and certificate number. The serial number is like a PNR number on railway ticket. Rebate Certificates are part of a Queue. A queue may be a Factor 3 or Factor 5 queue. Factor 3 refers to a queue where unit matures when its multiple by 3 joins the queue. So, for example if the unit no. in Factor 3 queue is 9 then it will mature when unit no. 27 joins the queue. Factor 5 refers to a queue where unit matures when its multiple by 5 joins the queue. So, for example if the unit no. in Factor 5 queue is 9 then it will mature when unit no. 45 joins the queue. Factor 3 queue moves faster than the Factor 5 queue. However a unit in the Factor 5 queue loses less in case of PreDue Retirement. Now let us understand this with an example. Say, you have a Rs. 100/- unit which appreciates to Rs. 200/- on Due. But let us suppose that a unitholder wants to encash before the unit matures and falls due. In such a case if that unitholder is in Factor 3 queue he will get Rs. 50/- while if he is in Factor 5 queue he will get Rs. 75/-. How? In order for a Rs. 100/- unit to mature and appreciate by Rs. 100/- the new units that join the queue depreciate and contribute to the maturing units. This contribution is expressed by the formulae: Appreciation/(Factor no. - 1) So in Factor 3 queue, it is: 100/(3 - 1) which is 50 New unit in the queue depreciates by Rs. 50/- and becomes Rs. 50/-. In Factor 5 queue, it is: 100/(5 - 1) which is 25. New unit in the queue depreciates by Rs. 25/- and becomes Rs. 75/-. This is the explaination of Factor 3 and Factor 5 PreDue Retirement unit values. Each queue is part of a Series. So, a Series may have Factor 3 queue or Factor 5 queue or both. You can have upto 999 such Series. Each Series can be tailored with suitable settings. Let us understand these. First, the Percent appreciation over unit value on Due. As long as the queue moves this appreciation gets automatically generated by the depreciation of new units joining the queue. However, once you close the queue, this is the cost you are going to pay to gain numerous advantages that QPower brings you. You will also need to keep it such that it attracts people to the scheme. Make your selection. Please note that you cannot change the Scheme, unit value or the per cent appreciation once any unit joins the queue. Now, you assign Days - Maximum, Minimum and Within. Maximum refers to the maximum number of days on completion of which you promise to rebate the unit value with appreciation whether it has matured in the queue or not. For example, a unit may not have matured but it may have been in queue for over 365 days. If you have set 365 days as maximum, then that unit is entitled to full rebate. Minimum refers to the days that must pass before the rebate is due. For example, a unit no. 1 may mature on the first day itself. However, if you have set minimum to say 30, that unit no.1 will become due for rebate only on completion of 30 days after joining the queue. Within refers to the number of days within which a due units certificate holder must buy goods and services to claim the full rebate. Failing which penalty shall start applying and the rebate that can be claimed will begin decreasing in value each day of the delay. Penalty%/Day fixes the percentage of penalty on unit value (without appreciation) to be deducted from the rebate due for each day that the Rebate Certificate holder delays the purchase beyond Days Within. Units: Maximum refers to the maximum number of units that will be accepted in the queue. This is optional. Year end refers to the date when the accounting year ends. This is so that receipt and payment voucher numbers can be reset. Commission% refers to the commission you may want to offer to Sales Agents. This is optional. Finally, Series Closed facilitates the closing of the Series so that no more units can join the queue. You may close the series when it slows down or for any other reason. Double click on the Series speed button at the top creates a new Series. As you do this, a Series graphic gets added to the grid on the screen and on the left, default properties for the Series appear. The text cursor waits at the default Series Name provided by QPower. You may change this name. Just above that, there is the Company name. You may change this too by clicking there, removing the existing text and entering the new one. Below the Series name is a code field, where internally generated code for the Series appears. As you move further down, there are address, phone, email, website, and signatory details. To Select a Series in the Grid from a list of names, click Series List Select speed button at the top. Or else, use the Close speed button to exit this view. For those comfortable with text, press F2. You get a pop-up text menu of all the speed button facilities. Click on the Series graphic in the grid gives you its properties in the panel at the left. Right click on the Series Grid gives you a variety of Series level facilities like Purge, Delete, Statistical Pie Charts, Redoing Statistics among others. You may return to the Company View any time to add a new Series or edit the properties for the Series already entered. |
